🚨Here Comes Trump!
Tech-titans Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg will be front and center at today’s inaugural of Donald Trump’s. They will have a prominent spot at the ceremony, which has been brought inside due to cold weather. The tech-trio will be seated together on the platform with other notable guests, including the chief executive of TikTok, even as the fate of the Chinese app hangs in the balance.
President-elect Donald Trump’s “border czar” Tom Homan now says the incoming administration is reconsidering whether to launch immigration raids in Chicago after details “leaked out” in news reports.
Oh Yea, the TV cameras will be there to document this event, now that the Trump administration is letting them know:
The raid was expected to begin on Tuesday morning, a day after Trump is inaugurated.
Hundreds of immigration agents were asked to volunteer. ICE is planning on sending roughly 150 agents to Chicago for the raids.
The incoming administration is eager to find ways to send a message that it is cracking down on undocumented immigrants and punishing so-called democratic, sanctuary cities — communities like Chicago that refuse to hand over immigrants detained by the police to federal immigration authorities.
Trump received a no-penalty sentence in his New York hush money case. Trump is the first president in history to receive a felony conviction. The expected sentence of unconditional discharge, meaning he will serve NO jail time — also recommended by prosecutors — means the conviction remains on his legal record.
Trump, appearing remotely from Florida, said during the hearing that "this has been a very terrible experience.” He described the case as a "political witch hunt" and a "setback" for New York and the state court system."The fact is I'm totally innocent. I did nothing wrong," Trump said.
Trump is expected to appeal.
🏛️Biden Warns of Oligarchy In America
President Biden warns that an “oligarchy” of the ultra-wealthy is emerging in America, sounding the alarm about unchecked power as he gave a farewell speech to the nation just days before he surrenders office to a man he disdains.
In an address from the Oval Office, Biden expressed concern about the “dangerous concentration of power” and issued a plea for the preservation of democratic ideals and institutions under the administration of President-elect Trump.
The 100 wealthiest got more than $1.5 trillion richer over the last four years, with tech tycoons including Elon Musk, Larry Ellison and Mark Zuckerberg leading the way, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
📱TikTok Restores Service
TikTok restored service just hours after going dark. Donald Trump said he would sign an executive order on his first day as President to delay enforcing the ban of the Chinese-owned social media platform.
But TikTok has been removed from downloads in App Stores.
Trump’s executive order raises questions about the rule of law. His action constitutes an attempt to bypass a law passed by Congress and unanimously upheld by the Supreme Court.
TikTok chief Shou Zi Chew was at Trump’s rally yesterday.
The app originally went dark Saturday night, but a statement said Trump's Sunday post on the matter provided "the necessary clarity and assurance to our service providers that they will face no penalties providing TikTok to over 170 million Americans."
Trump said he'd like the U.S. to eventually have a "50% ownership position" in a joint venture "between the current owners and/or new owners" to save TikTok.
It comes as the Supreme Court ruled in favor of upholding the TikTok ban.
Congress said the law was necessary because TikTok owner ByteDance is controlled by the Chinese government, and that its ability to harvest personal information from American users is a national security threat.

🚨Facebook Caves To Trump
Facebook parent Meta has eliminated its third-party fact checking, CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s latest attempt to smooth over relations with Republican President-elect Donald Trump before he takes office.
“We’ve reached a point where it’s just too many mistakes, and too much censorship,” Zuckerberg said in a video announcement. “The recent elections also feel like a cultural tipping point towards once again prioritizing speech, so we’re going to get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our polices and restoring free expression on our platforms.”
Meta said it will simplify its content policies by removing restrictions on subjects like immigration and gender and implement a new approach to policy enforcement that will focus on illegal and high severity violations. The company is moving its trust and safety and content moderation teams from California, a historically Democratic state, to Texas, a historically Republican state.
“We’re going to work with President Trump to push back on governments around the world that are going after American companies and pushing to censor more,” Zuckerberg said.
🚨Israel/Hamas Hostage Release
Ceasefire
Three Israeli hostages have been released, as a long-awaited agreement between Israel and Hamas for a cease-fire went into effect.
The terror group announced early this morning that Israeli’s Romi Gonen, Emily Damari and Doron Steinbrecher were released from captivity.
Under the terms of the deal, Israel and Hamas have agreed to observe a 42-day truce, during which Hamas is expected to stagger the release of 33 of the roughly 100 hostages it still holds. In exchange, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners are expected to be freed.
The agreement also calls for 600 trucks to be allowed to bring aid to Gazans daily.
President Biden and President-elect Trump both taking credit for the deal.
❄️Deep Freeze- Trump Inaugural Moved Inside
150 Million are under an Extreme Cold Alert
A powerful Arctic outbreak is sending temperatures tumbling into the single digits. The hazardous cold across the country could endanger public health, stress electricity grids and damage crops.
Donald Trump's inauguration will move inside the Capitol Rotunda, due to the frigid forecast.
7,800 soldiers will join approximately police officers to patrol Washington, DC during the “peaceful transfer of power.” Two FBI field offices, a swarm of drones, and at least 30 miles of fencing will be used to keep Trump and inauguration guests— including world leaders and top U.S. lawmakers from across the country—safe from a series of potential violent threats. Despite receiving no specific threats targeting Trump, law enforcement officials are “prepared” for the worst.
Additionally, National Guard members from all 50 states will operate checkpoints,

>Hollywood studios and entertainment companies have committed more than $70 million in disaster relief
LIVE COVERAGE via KABC:
Firefighters battling blaze reaching into the ultra-affluent Southern California neighborhoods of Brentwood and Bel Air, ran out of water. Officials now say the storage tanks that hold water for high-elevations could not keep pace with the demand as fire races from one neighborhood to another. And get this: An important reservoir that helps supply water in Pacific Palisades was offline, undergoing repairs at the time the fires began, and that shutdown may have contributed to firefighters losing water so early in their fight against the blaze.
An inferno engulfed the affluent neighborhoods west of downtown Los Angeles, homes with views of the Pacific Ocean, exploding to nearly 3,000 acres, burning with a volatility that astonishes fire officials. Homes in the area have an average price of almost $3.5 million,
Apocalyptic playing out across Southern California as multiple wildfires grew at dizzying speeds in a fierce windstorm, covering cities in smoke, whipping up storms of embers and turning the sky red.
The Oscars award ceremony could be cancelled for the first time in its 96th-year history due to the wildfires.
Official Academy Award committees are monitoring the situation on a daily basis as the event approaches. There is feeling that the event could be in bad taste if it goes ahead.

🧑🏭Trump Might Use Force To Take Panama Canal & Greenland
Donald Trump in a signature rambling news conference refused to rule out using force to retake the Panama Canal from what he called “Chinese control.” In truth Panama controls the Canal which was awarded to the country by President Jimmy Carter. Trump also refused to rule out force to take Greenland and name it Red White and Blue Land (no kidding!) as he declared U.S. control of both to be vital to American national security.
Trump also suggested changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America” (again, no kidding).
The leaders of both nations are fighting back. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum chided Trump for saying he plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico, saying she has a new name for the United States "Mexican America. That sounds nice," Sheinbaum quipped.
The leader of the Panama Canal Authority trashed Trump’s claims , Ricaurte Vásquez Morales denied Trump’s assertions that China is controlling the canal and said Trump's suggestion that U.S. ships should get preferential rates “will lead to chaos.”
Asked by a reporter if he would commit to not using military force or economic coercion in his quest to acquire territories, Trump notably did not rule it out.
"No, I can't assure you on either of those two. But I can say this, we need them for economic security," Trump said.
Buckle up for the next four years!

🏈Super Bowl Security Concerns Following NOLA Attack
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is seeking federal assistance to review the city’s plans, identify potential vulnerabilities and provide additional personnel and resources for the Super Bowl and upcoming Carnival season after the Bourbon Street attack exposed gaps in New Orleans’ security measures.
Cantrell said during an FBI news conference on Sunday that she's asked the White House for a “tactical expert” to map out the city’s weaknesses and advise on how to strengthen them. The review will occur over the next week, Cantrell said, adding that she and Gov. Jeff Landry will be seeking federal support when President Biden arrives in the city TODAY to meet with the families of the victims and discuss the ongoing response.
At least 15 people are dead, 30 more injured after a pickup truck drove into crowds on Bourbon Street in New Orleans on New Year’s Eve.
Police shot and killed the driver when he opened fire on officers after crashing the vehicle, according to the FBI, which is investigating the attack as an act of terrorism.
Five years ago a confidential security report warned that the Bourbon Street tourist strip was vulnerable to a “vehicular ramming” attack.
The FBI released photos obtained from surveillance video that show Shamsud-Din Jabbar walking in the French Quarter about an hour before he steered the truck onto Bourbon Street. His location is a block over from where the FBI say video shows Jabbar placing a rolling ice chest with an improvised explosive device inside.
Police found a similar device inside Jabbar’s truck after killing him in a shootout
Turns out the city was upgrading security bollards along a section in the area. The project involved replacing old bollards — barriers designed to protect pedestrians and property from vehicles — with removable stainless-steel ones, the city’s website said.
An ISIS Flag has been found hanging in the truck along with explosives.
President Biden focused on a video posted by the suspect in which Jabbar spoke about his Isis inspiration. “I've contacted every agency in the federal government, as well as the state. They're all coordinating to get -- get to the bare facts," the President said.
The Super Bowl takes place in the city next month.
💥CyberTruck Explodes Outside Trump Hotel
Las Vegas Cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger claimed his shocking suicide wasn’t a terror attack but a way for the solider to “cleanse” his mind — while blasting what he called “feckless leadership” of a United States “near collapse,” authorities revealed Friday.
Livelsberger, an active member of the Army’s elite Special Forces, left behind two notes in a charred cellphone recovered inside the singed Tesla he rented that suggest his motive for detonating explosives as he “simultaneously” shot himself in front of the Trump International Hotel Wednesday, Las Vegas police said.
“This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my point across than a stunt with fireworks and explosives,” Livelsberger, 37, wrote in a notes app.
Friends say he was suffering from PTSD brought on from combat in Afghanistan.
💻China Hacks U.S. Treasury
China hacked the U.S. Treasury, gaining access to computers and what the government says were unclassified documents.
The Biden administration charges come after reports in recent months that China had penetrated deep into U.S. telecommunications systems, gaining access to phone conversations and text messages of U.S. officials and businesses.p

NFL's Christmas Day double-header games were the most-streamed NFL games in .history, according to preliminary Nielsen figures that don't include international viewership. Once international figures and additional U.S. data is calculated, the league expects both games will have averaged around 30 million viewers each, representing a massive win for Netflix's live sports ambitions.
Last year's Christmas Day match on traditional television between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders drew 29 million viewers, the second-highest Christmas Day game since 1989.
The first Christmas Day game between the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers, had an average minute audience of 24.1 million, per Nielsen figures provided by the NFL.
Nearly one-third of Netflix's global concurrent viewers on Christmas Day were watching the game at one point, making it the most-watched concurrent stream of any Christmas Day for Netflix in the past four years.
The second Christmas Day game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens had an average minute audience of 24.3 million.
It was the most-watched Christmas Day game on record among 18-34 year-olds, per the NFL, with 5.1 million U.S. viewers. (That figure is based on Nielsen records dating back to 2001).
U.S. viewership for Ravens-Texans game peaked at Beyonce's halftime performance, with over 27 million viewers tuning in.
Leaving traditional TV out in the cold.

🚨Gaetz Paid 17 YearOld for Sex—Ethics Report
Former Rep. Matt Gaetz, paid numerous women — including a 17-year-old girl — for sex, also purchased and used illegal drugs, including from his Capitol Hill office. The House Ethics Committee concluded the former Florida Republican congressman, who Donald Trump originally picked to be his Attorney General, violated multiple state laws related to sexual misconduct while in office.
Gaetz is joining Conservative, One America News as a talk show anchor after withdrawing his nomination for AG.
"The Committee determined there is substantial evidence that Representative Gaetz violated House Rules and other standards of conduct prohibiting prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use, impermissible gifts, special favors or privileges, and obstruction of Congress," the 37-page report concludes.
Gaetz filed a lawsuit in federal court to block release of the report, saying that he is now a private citizen and not subject to the jurisdiction of the House committee.
💊Trump Administration Push To Ban TV Drug Ads
The TV Drug advertising business could soon need a shot in the arm.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald J. Trump’s choice for health secretary, is a longtime critic of pharmaceutical advertising on TV, arguing that it leads broadcasters to more favorable coverage of the industry and does not improve Americans’ health. He has repeatedly called for a ban on such ads.
Elon Musk, who is spearheading a government cost-cutting effort, last month wrote on X, his social-media site, “No advertising for pharma.”
And Brendan Carr, Trump’s pick to lead the FCC said that his agency could enforce any ban that is enacted. “I think we’re way, way too overmedicated as a country,” he said.
The push against TV drug ads threatens to dent the revenues of pharmaceutical companies and broadcasters.
🚨Hegseth Hangs in For Defense Secretary
More Republican Senators are opposing Hegseth, for secretary of defense. NBC News now reports at least six Republican have concerns about supporting Hegseth. Hegseth drank in ways that concerned his colleagues at Fox News, according to 10 current and former Fox employees who spoke with NBC News.
Hegseth,’s mother wrote her son an email in 2018 saying he had routinely mistreated women for years and displayed a lack of character.
“On behalf of all the women (and I know it’s many) you have abused in some way, I say … get some help and take an honest look at yourself,” Penelope Hegseth wrote, stating that she still loved him, in a letter obtained by the New York Times.
A police report has revealed sexual assault allegations against Hegseth, a former Fox News personality, Here’s what we know so far:
Turns out Hegseth paid an undisclosed amount to a woman who accused him of rape because “he feared the allegation getting out 'would result in his immediate termination from Fox'.
The President-elect has always worshipped TV personalities, and this nomination comes as little surprise to Trump watchers.
The news was met with bewilderment and wide-eyed worry among many in Washington, as Trump passed on a number of established national security heavy-hitters and chose an Army National Guard captain who is well-known in conservative circles as a co-host of Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends Weekend.”
Among other policies, Hegseth does not believe women should serve in combat roles.
The Pentagon has been described as the largest bureaucracy in the world and will be tough for a neophyte to negotiate.

Comcast plans to hang on to the rest of its media business, including its NBC broadcast network, NBC TV stations, Peacock streaming service, Universal film and TV studio, and Universal theme-parks business. And Bravo, can’t let those Real Housewives go!

Israeli and French fans got into a brief altercation during Thursday’s Nations League soccer game, which had heavy security presence following the antisemitic violence in Amsterdam.
Just after the game kicked off, officials reported a small brawl between Israeli and French soccer fans at a top section of the Stade de France, in Saint-Denis.
Some of those involved in the scuffle were wearing Israeli flags draped over their backs as they wrestled with other people in the stands.
Israel earlier evacuated its citizens from the Netherlands after street violence following a soccer game in Amsterdam. Israeli fans were chased down and beaten by Palestinian-supporters in what leaders of both countries called antisemitic attacks.
At least five people were hospitalized, according to Amsterdam police, who made 62 arrests.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof said on X he was in touch with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and was “horrified by the antisemitic attacks on Israeli citizens.”
