🤖A.I. COMING FOR YOUR JOB: Uber RoboTaxis Latest
Uber has just announced a partnership to deploy more than 20,000 robotaxis over the next six years as demand for driverless cars kicks into high gear.
As part of the partnership, the ride-hailing company is teaming up with Lucid, the electric vehicle maker, and Nuro, an autonomous vehicle startup. Under the agreement, Uber will invest $300 million in Lucid. Nuro will develop the self-driving technology that Lucid will use to supply Uber with robotaxis over the course of the deal and receive a multi-hundred-million-dollar investment.
The rapid adoption of AI has stirred up worry among many workers, as it is still unknown exactly what the impacts of the technology will be.
According to the poll, adults underestimate the impacts of AI on jobs for lawyers and truck drivers. By contrast, the U.S. public was more likely than experts to think medical doctors, teachers and musicians are at risk of AI-related job cuts over the next 20 years - although half of U.S. adults and experts say there will be job loss in each of these areas. A majority in both groups thought that AI will lead to fewer jobs for cashiers and journalists.
Is it Marco or a Robotic Voice?
The State Department is investigating a person or people imitating the Secretary of State, who used artificial intelligence to send text and voice messages to foreign diplomats and U.S. officials.
The person or people impersonating. Rubio sent text and voice messages, including over the encrypted chat app Signal, to at least five people outside the State Department. The recipients included a governor, a member of Congress and three foreign ministers, according to the cable.

Velvet Sundown’s pro-peace folk rock song “Dust on the Wind,” clinched the No. 1 spot for Spotify’s daily “Viral 50” chart.
The ’60s-inspired rock-and-roll band revealed that nothing about it is real after fans of the up-and-coming artists noticed there were virtually no traces of any people associated with it online.
📺PBS, NPR: Senate Approves Cuts
The Senate early this morning passed President Trump's requested clawback of federal funding for the Public Broadcasting Service, National Public Radio and foreign aid programs.
If the House moves ahead on these cuts as expected by the end of the week, local stations would bear the brunt of lost funding.
The bulk of the funds targeted in the full bill — about $8 billion — would cuts foreign assistance programs. The remaining $1.1 billion is for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds NPR and PBS.
Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins joined all Democrats in voting against it.
The vote incensed Democrats, who argued that Republicans were ceding Congress’s constitutional powers in the name of cutting a minuscule amount of spending, just weeks after passing their marquee tax bill that would add $4 trillion to federal deficits.
💸YOUR 401K: In Danger
Stocks on a rollercoaster, sinking, as a White House official indicated President Donald Trump was moving closer to firing Fed Chief Jerome Powell. Trump later denied the report, and stocks moved higher.
The brouhaha started as Trump reportedly told some Republicans he’s written a letter firing Powell and may send it. Markets reacted badly, and within minutes the President said he has no plans to dismiss the Fed chief.
But many still fear Trump could reverse course, and yet again send your 401k on a rollercoaster.
Trump 2017: "It is my pleasure and my honor to announce my nomination of Jerome Powell as Fed Chair."
Trump today: "He's a terrible Fed chair. I was surprised he was appointed. I was surprised frankly that Biden put him in and extended him."
It comes as the Fed continues to upset Trump by not reducing interest rates. It all comes as Consumer prices rose in June while Trump’s sweeping tariffs push up the cost of everything from groceries and clothes to furniture and appliances. The Consumer Price Index rising 2.7% from a year ago, the swiftest pace since February.
Next Up: Trump says he’s likely to impose tariffs on pharmaceuticals as soon as the end of the month.

💸COPPER TARIFFS: Aimed At China
As a primary currency in ancient China, copper coins symbolized wealth and value. Now the value of the metal to China is a target of President Trump.
The President is placing a 50% tariff on copper sent to the U.S.
GisermanGroup client, Exiger’s Kit Conklin, former Senior Advisor to the House Select Committee on China says, “The tariffs are meant to reduce U.S.exposure to Chinese market manipulation. The announcement will buy time—time for domestic producers to ramp up, for allied supply chains to stabilize. This is less about short-term price effects and more about long-term resilience and national security. “
It comes as Secretary of State Marco Rubio met his Chinese counterpart and said a summit between Trump and China President Xi Jinping may shortly take place.
✈️SUMMER VACATIONS: Cost More
Americans are downsizing their summer vacations — taking shorter trips, driving instead of flying, and generally staying closer to home in an uncertain economy.
Families appear to be pulling back on travel spending, after years of splurging on vacations. Fewer households are booking airline tickets or hotel rooms now than they were a year ago, Bank of America data shows. And the number of people taking vacation time off work in June dropped to its lowest level since the pandemic, according to Labor Department data.

The ICE U.S. Dollar Index, which compares the dollar to a basket of six others, just posted its worst first half of the year in more than 50 years. The dollar has tumbled 13% against the euro this year and 6% against the Japanese yen.
Blame the Trump administration’s trade policies, concerns over the growing national debt and the shrinking gap between interest rates in the U.S. and other major economies. Many expect the dollar to drop even further.
🥊OBAMA TO Dems: Stand Up To Trump
Former President Barack Obama scolded Democrats for failing to speak out against President Trump and his policies, suggesting they were shrinking from the challenge out of fear of retribution.
“It’s going to require a little bit less navel-gazing and a little less whining and being in fetal positions. And it’s going to require Democrats to just toughen up,” Obama said at a fund-raiser for the Democratic National Committee at the home of Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey.
The former president’s comments were interpreted by people in the room as a critique of the party’s elites for having gone quiet when they were sorely needed to step up, according to a person who attended.
☄️EPSTEIN: Trump Slams Supporters Who Believe “This BULL$HIT”
President Trump is bashing "PAST supporters" for their focus on what he called the "Jeffrey Epstein Hoax" amid ongoing scrutiny of his administration's handling of evidence.
Trump has urged his supporters, many of whom were rocked by his administration's conclusion that there was no evidence the disgraced financier was murdered and or kept a "client list," to walk away from the controversy.
MAGA loyalists are calling for the burning MAGA caps as anger over the Epstein Files grows, among Donald Trump's own supporter base.
The Justice Department claims Jeffrey Epstein did not maintain a “client list" and said no more files related to the wealthy financier’s sex trafficking investigation would be made public. This was despite promises from Attorney General Pam Bondi that had raised the expectations of conservative influencers and conspiracy theorists.
The claims have been met with fury from the far-right who believe they have been strung along by the Trump administration. Bondi previously said in a Fox News interview earlier this year that such a document was “sitting on my desk” for review.
💣TRUMP: Gives Putin 50 Day Ultimatum
President Trump is has threatened to levy steep tariffs on Russia over President Putin’s refusal to negotiate an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.
Trump said the US would be sending “billions” of dollars in military equipment, including Patriot air defence systems and other missiles. These weapons, said Trump, will be paid for by NATO members.
He added that if Russian President Vladimir Putin fails to sign a peace deal with Ukraine, he will impose “very severe tariffs” in 50 days, including secondary tariffs of 100 percent.

☔️SUMMER OF FLOODS: East Coast Hit
Heavy rain swept across parts of the Northeast on Monday night, inundating sections of New York and New Jersey with flash flooding that stranded vehicles in roadways, closed subway lines and led to the declaration of a state of emergency.
Heavy rain was possible in areas from Delaware to South Carolina through Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Flood watches were in effect for most of Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., through this evening.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency due to flash flooding and heavy rainfall, advising people to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. A video posted to social media by CBS showed flood waters bring a major roadway in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, to a standstill, stranding buses.
🌊TX FLOOD: 120+ Dead, 160 Still Missing
The search for survivors continues in central Texas after a deluge of floodwater filled camp cabins to their roofs, trapped people in trailer homes and overwhelmed cars before dawn on the Fourth of July. At least 120+ people were killed, including 27 campers and counselors from Camp Mystic.
170+ people, including 10 girls from the camp, are still missing.
Crucial positions at the local offices of the National Weather Service were empty, and some experts questioned whether staffing shortages had contributed to the disaster.

📱TWITTER: X CEO Linda Yaccarino Exits
Linda Yaccarino is stepping down as CEO of Elon Musk’s social media site X after two years in the role.
Yaccarino’s departure comes one day after Musk’s artificial intelligence chatbot Grok repeatedly made antisemitic comments and referenced Hitler in response to posts about the Texas flooding.
Grok is built by Musk’s company xAI and is integrated with his social media site X.
“When @elonmusk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company,” Yaccarino wrote in a post. “I’m immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, turning the company around, and transforming X into the Everything App.”
Yaccarino did not give a reason for her departure.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk says he ‘s created a new political party called the America Party after reigniting a feud with President Trump.
“Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.”Musk’s move to start building a potential third party is the latest effort by the billionaire to take on Trump after becoming one of his most vocal supporters. 👠SHOE BIZ: TSA Ending Shoes-Off Policy
Well, that’s Shoe Biz!
At long last, the TSA appears to be rolling back one of its most hated airport security rules.
As of July 7, according to an internal memo reported on by numerous travel industry sources, passengers will no longer be required to remove their shoes at agency checkpoints.
The document is said to have cited technological advancements and a reevaluation of potential threats as deciding factors in the shoe statute’s reversal,
🚨HAPPY Summer?: Trump Says He HATES Dems, Musk’s New Party
In a splashy Fourth of July ceremony, with a B-2 stealth bomber and jet fighters flying over the White House, President Trump put his signature to his ‘Big Beautiful Bill’. With two Republicans joining Democrats in voting no, the House narrowly passed the bill 218-214.
Just a day before, Trump declared his hatred for his political opponents during a supposedly bipartisan celebration of the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. Taking to the lectern behind thick bulletproof glass in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday, Trump immediately started firing off political potshots. “They wouldn’t vote only because they hate Trump, but I hate them, too, you know?” Trump said, referring to Democrats who voted against his “Big Beautiful Bill”. I really do. I hate them. I cannot stand them, because I really believe they hate our country.”
His tone was strange given that the event, on the eve of July 4th, was organized as a non-political celebration. Trump’s liaison to the organizing group, America250, said that it was designed to bring Americans together.
IN THE BILL:
Extends tax cuts that had been scheduled to expire at the end of the year
Eliminates some taxes on tips and overtime pay
Funds more defense and border security
Cuts Medicaid funding by nearly $1 trillion
Increases the debt limit by $5 trillion
Cuts Social Security Taxes
Promoting the bill Trump used a term many consider antisemitic:
“No death tax. No estate tax. No going to the banks and borrowing from, in some cases, a fine banker — and in some cases, shylocks and bad people,” he said. When asked about his use of the term after he got off Air Force One, he said that he has “never heard that” the word could be considered antisemitic.

🤖AI COMING: For YOUR Job
CEOs are no longer dodging the question of whether AI takes jobs. Now they are giving predictions of how deep those cuts could go.
The automation of Amazon warehouses is approaching a new milestone: There will soon be as many robots as humans.
The Wall Street Journal reports Amazon has deployed more than one million robots in those workplaces, Amazon said. That is the most it has ever had and near the count of human workers at the facilities.
75% of Amazon’s global deliveries are assisted in some way by robotics, the company said
Meta shares hit a record intraday high, underscoring investor interest in the company’s new ‘AI super-intelligence’ group.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been on an AI hiring blitz amid fierce competition with rivals such as OpenAI and Google-parent Alphabet.
“Artificial intelligence is going to replace literally half of all white-collar workers in the U.S.,” Ford Chief Executive Jim Farley said in an interview last week with author Walter Isaacson at the Aspen Ideas Festival. “AI will leave a lot of white-collar people behind.”
Microsoft will layoff another 9,000 employees. The move is the latest instance of cost-cutting by Big Tech companies as they spend heavily on artificial intelligence. It may also be tied to growing efficiency at these businesses because of A.I.
⛽️GAS: Prices Down For Summer Travel
The national average price of gasoline is around $3.20 a gallon.
The last time the cost for drivers was lower in July was in 2021, when the pandemic depressed demand.
AAA expects that travel will be record-breaking, 72.2 million Americans are expected to travel for Independence Day, nearly 62 million of them will do so in cars, 2.2 percent more than in 2024.
👨⚖️DIDDY: No Bail
The Judge has denied bail until sentencing for Sean Combs. Diddy has been found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering charges, but convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution after an eight-week federal trial. Sentencing not scheduled until October.
A jury in Manhattan found Combs not guilty of the most serious charges against him. Prosecutors had accused the famed producer of coercing two former girlfriends, Casandra Ventura and a woman who testified pseudonymously as “Jane,” into unwanted sex with male prostitutes, aided by a team of pliant employees.
Diddy could be sentenced up to a maximum of 20 years in prison on the two transportation for prostitution charges — 10 years for each count — but the final sentence will be up to the judge.
📺60 MINUTES: CBS Pays $16 Million to Settle Trump Lawsuit
In an extraordinary concession to a sitting President by a major media news organization, CBS parent company Paramount has agreed to pay Donald Trump $16 million to settle his lawsuit over the editing of an interview with Kamala Harris on “60 Minutes”.
As part of the settlement, Paramount said that it had agreed to release written transcripts of future “60 Minutes” interviews with presidential candidates. The company said that the settlement did not include an apology.
The deal is the clearest sign yet that Trump’s ability to intimidate major American institutions extends to the news industry.
$16 million, is the same sum that ABC News agreed to pay in December to settle a defamation case filed by Trump against the network and one of its anchors, George Stephanopoulos.
💸👑WALL ST SPOOKED: Socialist Wins NYC Mayoral Primary
Zohran Mamdani declared victory in New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary after Andrew Cuomo conceded the race. It was a stunning upset, as the young, progressive upstart who was virtually unknown when the contest began built a substantial lead over the more experienced but scandal-scarred former governor.
The pro-business community in New York is already donating to Mayor Eric Adams — who is running for re-election as an independent — and trying to figure out how they can best support the current mayor. Adams Wednesday met with business leaders and political brokers to discuss how to stop the rise of Mamdani
Mamdani’s platform includes increasing taxes on those making more than $1 million a year. He has said he would make the city more affordable by freezing rents on rent-stabilized apartments, investing $70 billion in publicly subsidized housing, providing free bus service and opening government-operated grocery stores.
☢️IRAN NUKES: Severely Damaged Or Not?
The U.S. strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities did not destroy the core of the country’s nuclear program and likely only set it back by months, according to an early US intelligence assessment. The attack sealed off the entrances to two nuclear facilities but did not collapse their underground buildings, classified findings indicated. The report suggests that President Trump’s earlier statement on the strike’s success was overstated.
Trump repeated his previous claims that the attacks were a massive success. At a NATO summit at The Hague, he said the strikes led to the “virtual obliteration” of Iran’s nuclear capabilities and set its program back “by decades.”
C.I.A. director, John Ratcliffe, said the strikes had “severely damaged” Iran’s nuclear program, and repeated Trump’s claims that those initial report, by the Defense Intelligence Agency were based on preliminary assessments and already outdated.
Trump also says U.S. negotiators will meet with an Iran delegation in the week ahead.
The fragile ceasefire seems to be holding after President Trump ripped into both Iran and Israel for breaking the truce hours after it was supposed to start — Trump raging that both “don’t know what the f–k they’re doing.”
“I think they both violated it,” the President said as he left Joint Base Andrews for a NATO summit.
“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f–k they’re doing, do you understand?”
-Still, there’s concerns that Iran will close the Strait of Hormuz through which 20% of the world’s oil passes if the ceasefire is not successful.
Exiger’s Brandon Daniels on NewsNation with the concerns.
🇺🇸USA HIGH ALERT
Virtually every critical infrastructure sector in the U.S. is NOW on high alert amid the conflict between Iran, Israel and the U.S.
The organizations representing critical networks that keep the lights on, the water running and transportation systems humming across the U.S. are bracing for a possible surge of Iranian cyberattacks.
Hackers backing Tehran have targeted U.S. banks, defense contractors and oil industry companies following American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities — but so far have not caused widespread disruptions to critical infrastructure or the economy.
Exiger’s Bob Kolasky, a GisermanGroup client and former CyberCzar for the Department of Homeland Security, says that could change if the ceasefire between Iran and Israel collapses or if independent hacking groups supporting Iran make good on promises to wage their own digital conflict against the U.S.
The U.S. strikes could even prompt Iran, Russia, China and North Korea to double down on investments in cyberwarfare, according to Kolasky.
Kolasky adds,”As the conflict evolves — and particularly now that the U.S. has struck Iran directly — targets in the United States could be prioritized for action by Iran’s cyber threat capability.”
🚢TRUMP TARIFFS: White House Now Downplays
President Trump could extend his upcoming July 9th self-imposed tariff deadlines, the White House said.
Asked if Trump is still committed to a deadline to strike trade deals, press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that date “is not critical.”
Meantime, China pledged to approve exports of rare earths to the U.S., potentially easing a major irritant in trade negotiations.
China's commerce ministry said it would "review and approve eligible export applications for controlled items,” according to a statement in state media that appeared to confirm details of a deal alluded to by President Trump.
Exiger’s Kit Conklin tells NewsNation it’s a matter of security.

💸SOCIAL SECURITY: Runs Out of $ in 8 Years
The Social Security trust fund is on track to run out of money in 8 years, its trustees said in a new report, a year sooner than the last projection.
The U.S. faces a major fiscal reckoning in the early 2030s, as retirement benefits would be on track to be slashed automatically, if Congress does not act to preserve the benefits on which millions of Americans rely.
A law enacted at the start of this year expanding Social Security for railroad and public pension recipients was the main reason for the quicker drawdown.
The new Social Security and Medicare Trustees report, the government's formal annual estimate of the programs' finances, finds that the trust fund for the Social Security retirement program is set to go bust in 2033, the same as last year.
💻STREAMING: Beats Broadcast & Cable Combined
Nielsen reports for the first time last month, streaming viewership in the U.S. eclipsed both cable and broadcast combined.
Streaming's assent has been rapid over cable in particular. When Nielsen first started measuring monthly TV consumption by medium in September 2021, cable represented 38% of viewership, while streaming only represented 28%.
Last month, streaming represented 44.8% of all TV viewership, its largest share of viewing to date. Both broadcast and cable fell to near all-time lows.
📱TRUMP MOBILE: Pres Now In Cell Phone Biz
Nope, we’re not kidding.
The new service, Trump Mobile, will offer a $47.45-per-month plan that includes unlimited talk, text and data, as well as roadside assistance and a “Telehealth and Pharmacy Benefit,” according to its website.
The company, owned by President Donald Trump, also announced it will sell a “T1” smartphone, which appears to feature a gold-colored metal case etched with an American flag.
💸TRUMP ECONOMY: Inflation 🆙
President Trump calls Fed chief Powell a ‘numbskull’ as he urges interest rate cuts.
The consumer price index, a broad-based measure of goods and services across the sprawling U.S. economy, increased 0.1% for the month, putting the annual inflation rate at 2.4%
The number of people who said they were unemployed in May jumped to an 8-year high , excluding the pandemic era, offering clear evidence that jobs have become harder to find during a chaotic period for the economy.
The Trump administration's immigration crackdown may already be affecting the job market, with slower employment growth in industries relying on unauthorized workers like fast food, landscaping and construction.
Last month some 7.24 million people said they were unemployed, the government reported, meaning that they were looking for work but couldn’t find a job. Just a few years earlier, the number of unemployed had fallen to a 23-year low of 5.75 million.
Hiring slowed last month, a sign employers grew more cautious about hiring amid uncertainty over tariffs and the nation’s economic outlook.
Meantime a Fed report shows the economy has contracted over the past six weeks as hiring has slowed with consumers and businesses worried about tariff-related price increases.
✈️UKRAINE: Drones Attack Russian Planes
Russia planning to hit back after Ukraine drones smuggled deep inside Russian and hidden inside trucks hit 41 Russian heavy bombers at four airfields across the country.
The operation — codenamed "Spider web" and a year-and-a-half in the planning — appears to have dealt a major blow to the aircraft Moscow uses to launch long-range missile attacks on Ukraine's cities.
"The SBU first transported FPV drones to Russia, and later, on the territory of the Russian Federation, the drones were hidden under the roofs of mobile wooden cabins, already placed on trucks," the source said.
"At the right moment, the roofs of the cabins were opened remotely, and the drones flew to hit Russian bombers."
✈️Summer Of Hell For Airlines
Memorial Day signaled what is expected to be a summer of hell for airlines with one problem after another.
The FAA issued another ground-stop on all flights at Newark Liberty International Airport on Wednesday evening as New York City's second-busiest airport continued to struggle with staffing shortages.
Air traffic control problems are causing flight delays and cancellations, feeding into traveler worries over safety that began in January with the worst US air crash in decades. A global trade war and other economic concerns are driving down the value of the dollar, making overseas travel more expensive for Americans.
About 1.9 million foreigners arrived at the U.S.’s main airports in the past four weeks, down 6% from the same period last year, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Airline bookings data for the summer suggest things won’t be picking up soon. Flight bookings to the U.S. from Europe are down by about 12% through August.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says that Newark airport will see “several weeks” of reduced capacity as officials grapple with spiraling delays and safety lapses at one of the country’s busiest hubs, add to that problems at Washington Reagan and Denver’s airport.
☕️COFFEE PERK: Study Finds Healthy Aging
Go ahead, have that second and third cup…
In a new study scientists have found that coffee may offer long-term benefit of healthy aging.
The study has not been peer-reviewed or published, but it was rigorous and included a large number of women who were followed for many years. It also adds to a large body of evidence linking coffee to longer lives and various health advantages, including lower risks of certain chronic diseases .
Many other studies have linked drinking coffee regularly to a lower risk of early death. In a study of more than 46,000 U.S. adults published in May, researchers found that those who consumed one to three cups of coffee per day were about 15 percent less likely to die within the next nine to 11 years than those who didn’t drink coffee.
✈️TRUMP-FORCE ONE: $400 Million Gift
The Defense Department formally accepted a luxury 747 jumbo jet from Qatar to temporarily serve as the new Air Force One for President Donald Trump, one of the biggest foreign gifts ever given to the US.
The move fulfills Trump’s desire for a new presidential aircraft, after years of delays in the government’s contract with the aerospace giant for new planes to serve that role. Still, the gift raises ethical and security concerns, with politicians from both parties questioning the president’s decision.
“The Secretary of Defense has accepted a Boeing 747 from Qatar in accordance with all federal rules and regulations,” chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement. “The Department of Defense will work to ensure proper security measures and functional-mission requirements are considered for an aircraft used to transport the President of the United States.”
📺PARAMOUNT/CBS: Bribing Trump In Order To Sell?
Senators are seeking information about Paramount efforts to settle a lawsuit by President Trump against the company’s CBS News, probing whether the company risks violating a federal bribery law.
In a letter to Paramount Global Chair Shari Redstone, Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), Ron Wyden (D., Ore.) and Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) said they are concerned that the media company “may be engaging in improper conduct involving the Trump Administration in exchange for approval of its merger with Skydance Media.”
Trump is suing CBS News for $20 billion over how the network’s “60 Minutes” edited an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris last October. The suit alleges the interview was deceitfully edited to make her sound better. CBS has said it was neither doctored nor deceitful.
🪙PENNY: No More Pennies For Your Thoughts
The US government is ending production of the penny, citing drastically decreased demand and immediate savings.
The Treasury Department said in a statement that it made its final order of penny blanks this month, and the US Mint will stop making pennies when the inventory of blanks is depleted.
President Donald Trump announced in February that he was directing the Treasury secretary to halt production of the one-cent coin as part of a broader effort to cut waste in the national budget.
“For far too long the United States has minted pennies which literally cost us more than 2 cents,” he said in a Truth Social post. “This is so wasteful!”
👩💻GOOGLE: Takes On AI Bots
Google fights back against new AI rivals.
The search giant said it was introducing a new feature in its search engine called A.I. Mode. The tool will function like a chatbot, allowing people to start a query, ask follow-up questions and use the company’s A.I. system to deliver comprehensive answers.
“It’s a total reimagining of search,” said Sundar Pichai, the chief executive of Google, in a press briefing ahead of the company’s annual conference for software developers. In tests of the feature, he said, people dramatically “changed the nature of how they are interacting with search.”
🩺BIDEN: How Did White House Doctors Miss Cancer
Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. The diagnosis came after Biden reported urinary symptoms, which led doctors to find a “small nodule” on his prostate.
The last time Biden received a PSA test was in 2014 according to a spokesman. /But we do know that both 0bama, Trump and Clinton received prostate tests from the White House physician.
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, a government-backed volunteer panel of experts that makes preventive health recommendations, advises against PSA screening for men ages 70 and above, based on concerns about false positives and overtreating low-risk forms of the disease. Other groups advise older men to make the decision about whether to continue screening in consultation with their doctors.
📘Biden Cover Up—Bombshell New Book
A rapidly aging Joe Biden couldn’t even recognize George Clooney at a Democratic fundraiser in Los Angeles during the 2024 campaign — leaving the Hollywood star “shaken to his core,” a bombshell new book claims.
The troubling incident, which unfolded at a star-studded fundraiser co-hosted by Clooney, was laid bare in the forthcoming book “Original Sin” by Alex Thompson and Jake Tapper, which chronicles the attempt to cover up Biden’s decline while in office.
“The original sin of Election 2024 was Biden’s decision to run for re-election — followed by aggressive efforts to hide his cognitive diminishment,” Tapper and Thompson write. On the evening of June 27, 2024, Democratic voters watched the first presidential debate in amazement and horror: A red-faced Donald Trump let loose a barrage of audacious whoppers while Biden, slack-jawed and pale, struggled to string together intelligible rebuttals.

📺CBS NEWS CEO: Pushed Out
Embattled CBS News boss Wendy McMahon was pushed out on after less than two years – in wake of a $20 billion lawsuit brought by President Trump that has stalled parent company Paramount’s $8 billion merger with Skydance Media.
McMahon, who was given the title of CEO of CBS News, Stations, and CBS Media Ventures in 2023, has opposed settling the lawsuit over a “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris in the heat of the presidential campaign that Trump alleges was deceptively edited to aid the former vice president.
“It’s become clear that the company and I do not agree on the path forward,” McMahon said in a memo sent to shell-shocked staff.
🎸TRUMP Calls Springsteen “Obnoxious Jerk”
Doesn’t Donald Trump have something better to do?
President Trump fired back at criticism from Bruce Springsteen insisting he "never liked" the New Jersey native or his music, despite having used Springsteen songs at his campaign rallies, calling the boss “an obnoxious jerk”.
Trump's Truth Social rant came after Springsteen took aim at the president while on his European tour, calling the administration "corrupt, incompetent and treasonous" during a May 14 concert in Manchester, England.
Springsteen told the British crowd before the night's first song "The Land of Hope and Dreams," that "the mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock 'n' roll in dangerous times."
Trump also blasted staunch Democrat Taylor Swift as "no longer hot". Yep this is what we want to hear from our President!?!
‼️IMMIGRATION GAMES
The Department of Homeland Security is considering being part of a television show in which immigrants would compete for U.S. citizenship.
The pitch for the proposed show comes from Rob Worsoff, a producer and writer whose credits include the “Duck Dynasty” reality show.
“This isn’t ‘The Hunger Games’ for immigrants,” Worsoff said. Immigrants already in the system would compete in various contests including potentially on American history and science. Worsoff stressed that losing contestants wouldn’t face deportation. “This is not, ‘Hey, if you lose, we are shipping you out on a boat out of the country.”
👩⚖️DIDDY: Jury Views ‘Freak-Off’ Pix
The jury in the Sean Diddy Combs trial viewed sexually explicit pictures of the so called ‘freak-offs’ performed by Cassie Ventura.
Cassie described for jurors the first time Diddy got violent with her when they were on a car ride in 2007.
Cassie said she shrugged her shoulders at Combs after she saw him flirting with someone else inside a restaurant and then he retaliated against her once they got in the car.
"When we got in the car, he knocked me around," said Cassie -- who would have been around 21 at the time and have recently started becoming romantic with him.
They were inside an Escalade SUV and Combs' security guard and driver were there for the vicious beating, she said.
"He hit me on the side of the head, he knocked me the floor of the car," Cassie said.
She said she was "shocked" and didn't understand why Combs had gotten so angry.
Cassie described another time when they were driving in an Escalade in Los Angeles and she hit Combs for calling her a name, "slut or b---h or something."
Combs' "eyes went black" and he started "stomping on my face with his foot."
The ride lasted 10 minutes and Combs was attacking her as she tried "to defend" and "cover" herself.
"I had never experienced anything like that, when I was really badly beaten," Cassie told the jury.
She said she bolted down the street but Combs' security guard caught up to her.
Once inside Combs' house, she looked at herself in the mirror.
"I didn’t look like myself at all. I was swollen, everything, it was horrible," Cassie said.
📺BAD MANAGEMENT: HBO MAX Is Back
What’s in a name?
For company logos just about everything! Which is why Warner Bros. Discovery’s continuing name-game is awful business!
HBO became HBO Max, and then it became Max. Now, it will be HBO Max again.
Warner Bros. Discovery is renaming its streaming platform again starting this summer, restoring a name it ditched just two years ago.
Warner Bros. Discovery first launched its stand-alone streaming service HBO Max in 2020 when the brand was still owned by AT&T.
The “Max” moniker was added to signify that the platform would have a wide array of content, from reality TV, documentaries, kids programming and movies, as well as the prestige branding of HBO titles.
At the time, leadership believed HBO had too small of an audience, much of which was U.S.-based, and that there was more value in making HBO a sub-brand within a larger streaming offering.
The service was later renamed Max in 2023. That change came after the merging of Discovery Communications and WarnerMedia, which was divested from AT&T in 2022. Content from Discovery+ was added to HBO Max under the new name.
Now, two years later, Warner Bros. Discovery has reversed course.
⚾️HALL OF FAME: Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Eligible
Major League Baseball has removed Pete Rose and “Shoeless” Joe Jackson – two of the sport’s most famous players who were previously kicked out of baseball for gambling on the game – from the league’s permanently ineligible list.
The historic decision by MLB commissioner Rob Manfred allows them to be considered for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame, an honor that had been ruled out as part of the settlement Rose reached with Major League Baseball. Rose died in September, and Manfred ruled that his lifetime ban ended with his death.
💨AMERICAN POPE
Pope Leo, in his first address to the media, called for an end to a polarizing “war of words” made of partisan and ideological attacks and not give space to fanaticism and hatred.
Cardinal Robert Prevost, an American missionary who spent his career ministering in Peru and leads the Vatican’s powerful office of bishops, has been elected the first American pope in the 2,000-year history of the Catholic Church.
Prevost, 69, took the name Leo XIV.
U.S. Catholics tend to lean Republican, but they had overwhelmingly positive views of Francis — even though he clashed with President Trump over issues like immigration.
In February, a social media account under Prevost’s name expressed criticism of Vice President JD Vance, sharing an article that called the vice president’s interpretation of Christian doctrine “wrong.”
🚨HAMAS RELEASES: Last American Hostage
Hamas has released Edan Alexander, a dual U.S. and Israeli citizen believed to be the last living U.S. citizen who remains captive in Gaza, weeks after saying it had lost contact with the group holding him hostage.
His release is part of “the steps being taken to achieve a ceasefire, open the crossings, and allow aid,” Khalil al-Hayya, head of Hamas’ negotiating team, said in a statement Sunday. Al-Hayya did not provide information on Alexander’s condition.
‼️TRUMP: Uncertain About Constitution
President Trump asked about his constitutional obligations, "Don't you need to uphold the Constitution of the United States as president?" Trump replied, "I don't know."
Trump argued in an interview on “Meet the Press” that fulfilling his ambitious campaign promise to rapidly carry out mass deportations may take precedence over giving immigrants the right to due process under the Constitution, as required by courts.
A central part of Trump’s agenda has been implementing the “largest deportation operation” in U.S. history, as he vowed during the 2024 campaign. In service of that goal, his administration has pressed the courts to allow the immediate removal of immigrants it accuses of being members of a Venezuelan gang, without giving them a chance to plead their case before a judge.
In an interview last month with “Meet the Press,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, “Yes, of course,” when asked whether every person in the United States is entitled to due process.
Trump, however, isn’t so sure.
“I don’t know. I’m not, I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know,” Trump replied when asked by “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker whether he agreed with Rubio.
📺FOX’s PIRRO: Now U.S. Attorney
President Trump says he will appoint Fox News host and former prosecutor Jeanine Pirro as interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.
Trump announced the pick in a post on Truth Social.
The selection comes as Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Thursday that Ed Martin, who is currently serving as D.C.'s interim top prosecutor, would not be taking the position permanently after losing support among top Republicans in the Senate.
Pirro has been a longtime ally of Trump, dating back to her time as a prominent prosecutor in New York. She was an early supporter of his 2016 campaign and publicly defended him during the "Access Hollywood" tape scandal.
Following Trump's loss in the 2020 election, Pirro pushed false allegations of election fraud involving voting machines and was later among the Fox News employees named in the Dominion Voting Systems defamation lawsuit for broadcasting false claims about the company. Fox News eventually settled for $787.5 million and admitted the statements were false.
💸WARREN BUFFET
94 year old Billionaire Warren Buffett shocked an arena full of shareholders by announcing that he will retire as CEO at the end of the year, bringing the curtain down on a six-decade run leading Berkshire Hathaway that made him the most influential investor in the world. Buffett will remain Chairman
Buffett said he will recommend to Berkshire Hathaway’s board that Vice Chairman Greg Abel should replace him.
“I think the time has arrived where Greg should become the chief executive officer of the company at year end,” Buffett said.
Abel has been Buffett’s designated successor for years, and he already manages all of Berkshire’s noninsurance businesses. But it was always assumed that he would not take over until after Buffett’s death. Previously the 94-year-old Buffett always said he had no plans to retire.
Buffett announced the news at the end of a five-hour question and answer period without taking any questions about it. He said the only board members who knew this was coming were his two children, Howard and Susie Buffett. Abel, who was sitting next to Buffett on stage, had no warning.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s personal phone number, the one used in a recent Signal chat, was easily accessible on the internet and public apps as recently as March, potentially exposing national security secrets to foreign adversaries, according to rge New York Times.
He apparently did it a second time —Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth used his personal phone to send information about U.S. military operations in Yemen to a 13-person Signal group chat, including his wife and his brother, according to reports.
Asked by reporters if he still had confidence in his defense secretary, President Trump defended Pete Hegseth. “He’s doing a great job — ask the Houthis how he’s doing,” he said, referring to the rebel group in Yemen. The Houthis were the target of strikes about which Hegseth shared information in a private Signal group.
The development comes about a month after it became public that Hegseth shared details of strikes in Yemen in a separate Signal chat with top administration officials. The editor-in-chief of The Atlantic was mistakenly

🏛️HARVARD: Hits Back At Trump
President Trump threatened Harvard University’s tax-exempt status after the school hit back at his administration’s demands for a series of policy changes.
The threat came a day after the Trump administration halted more than $2 billion in federal funding for Harvard because the university rejected changes to its hiring and admissions practices and curriculum.
“No government — regardless of which party is in power — should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue,” says Alan Garber, Harvard’s president.

👙HOOTERS BANKRUPT: Inflation or Deflation?
Hooters, the restaurant chain known for its all-female serving staff in revealing outfits has filed for bankruptcy in a Texas court, the company announced on Monday.
Under the bankruptcy agreement, a group that includes the company’s founders — who independently run about a third of the franchised locations in the United States — will buy the company-owned restaurants in the United States from the private equity firm that owns the chain.
The complicated bankruptcy filing is a way to keep many of the restaurants open.
📺YOUTUBE: Tops TV Viewing
YouTube commanded more TV time than any other media provider in February, and its top ranking was thanks in part to viewers over the age of 50.
The service accounted for 11.6 percent of all TV use in the country in Nielsen‘s rankings of media distributors for the February period (which ran from Jan. 27-Feb. 23). That’s an all-time high for YouTube and the second time it has placed atop the distributor rankings; it previously did so in July 2024.
YouTube improved from 10.8 percent of TV use in January and passed Disney (10 percent) for the overall spot among TV content distributors. Nielsen notes that the rise for YouTube was fueled partly by a somewhat surprising source: people over 50, who accounted for about 36 percent of all time spent watching YouTube on TV screens — more than the combined 28 percent for teenagers and adults 18-34. The media distributor rankings don’t include viewing on computers or mobile devices, which means the demographics Nielsen cited might not be fully representative of YouTube’s total usage across all devices.
🧪23andMe: Files Bankruptcy-Your DNA Safe?
23andMe filed for bankruptcy late Sunday night and announced the resignation of its chief executive, capping a precipitous fall for the DNA-testing company.
So, is that DNA you gave them, and information garnered from it safe?
More than 15 million people provided the company with their DNA samples, a virtually unprecedented repository of human genetic information that could be sold in bankruptcy proceedings.
California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta issued an alert to consumers in his state, reminding them of their right to delete their information, a step some may scramble to take due to concerns over who may ultimately own their personal genetic data.
